Deciphering the genomics and genetics of complex traits in animals/Livestock for evaluating best breeds and aiding in scientific selections for breeding programs. We also aid in the studies of endangered species. We have an array of technologies – NGS, Microarrays, Massarrays and Sanger to study the genomes extensively to screen for these valuable traits.
Birds, LiveStock and host of other animals play an important role in the agri-dynamics of various regions in terms of microbe spread, pest control etc. This has led to an explosion of studies in the Environmental Metagenomics, wherein large microbial communities can directly be screened in their natural environment without prior culturing. These studies can yield important information about diverse microbial populations associated with animal and plant development, from rumen flora that enhance animal digestion to root-associated bacteria involved in nitrogen fixation. Using NGS, Pathcare has initiated Gut microbiome studies in various rumens. The battery of tests include :
- Whole Genome Sequencing – de-novo/resequencing
- Transcriptome Analysis
- ChIP sequencing
- Bisulphite sequencing
- Small RNA sequencing
- Gut Microbiomes
